A new type of audio guide for buses, trams, and trains: no app to download, free for passengers, GPS-enabled—right in your browser.
Your users simply open the audio guide and enjoy it. No paywall, no in-app purchases.
All you need is a phone and headphones. No proprietary hardware to distribute or maintain.
The browser reads the GPS signal and triggers the audio commentary. Scan the QR code, click, and it starts.
L'expérience suit le bus. Si la ligne prend du retard, le lecteur s'adapte sans que l'usager s'en rende compte.
Three simple steps for travelers. Zero hassle for operators. CityTourPlayer handles hosting, distribution, and GPS synchronization.
When the bus stops, the passenger scans a QR code displayed in the bus shelter or on the bus.
The web browser opens, requests your location, and starts the tour as soon as the bus begins moving.
At each point of interest, the audio and images play at just the right moment, without you having to do a thing.
Would you like an audio guide for one of your routes, but don’t want to handle the production yourself? Our team will manage the project from start to finish, and you’ll have full control over it once it’s delivered via the online editor.

The idea for CityTourPlayer first took shape during a visit to London on the No. 11 bus. The route offered stunning views of the city’s top attractions, but no real-time information. We envisioned a platform that would allow transit companies and cities around the world to create audio tours using their existing networks.
Today, both small and large cities can offer travelers—and their residents—the chance to rediscover their heritage, without needing a private fleet.
